Free flight, pipelines, tasks and questions

On this page

Follow one recorded run. Handle delegated tasks and user questions without creating duplicate requests.

Use these tools

  1. Call the relevant read or status tool first.
  2. Review the target and required arguments.
  3. Run one intended action, with explicit human confirmation where required.
  4. Inspect status or re-read the affected resource afterward.

Inputs below describe the public contract. Your connected server’s current tool list is authoritative. Some tools require a particular host, target, inference mode or plan. Identifiers are values returned by earlier tools; do not invent them.

modify_project

Ask the agent for an open-ended change.

Starts open-ended development. Make the requested outcome and preserved access boundaries explicit. Follow the returned run.

ArgumentRequiredType or accepted values

| prompt | Yes | string; minLength 1 |

| projectId | No | string |

Operation: can change state or start work.

Available setups: stdio, cloud project, cloud inference; stdio, cloud project, delegated inference; stdio, local project, cloud inference; stdio, local project, delegated inference; hosted HTTP.

The machine-readable tool contracts include nested argument schemas.

pipeline_status

Where a run stopped.

Read the returned resource and use its current values when planning the next action.

ArgumentRequiredType or accepted values

| runId | Yes | string |

| projectId | No | string |

Operation: read-only.

Available setups: stdio, cloud project, cloud inference; stdio, cloud project, delegated inference; stdio, local project, cloud inference; stdio, local project, delegated inference; hosted HTTP.

The machine-readable tool contracts include nested argument schemas.

resume_pipeline

Continue a run that stopped.

Continue the recorded stopped run. Inspect pipeline_status before setting an optional restart point.

ArgumentRequiredType or accepted values

| runId | Yes | string |

| projectId | No | string |

| from | No | string |

Operation: can change state or start work.

Available setups: stdio, cloud project, cloud inference; stdio, cloud project, delegated inference; stdio, local project, cloud inference; stdio, local project, delegated inference; hosted HTTP.

The machine-readable tool contracts include nested argument schemas.

next_task

Get the next model call to perform.

Delegated inference task pickup. A wait returning no task is normal. Retain taskId for the matching result.

ArgumentRequiredType or accepted values

| maxWaitSec | No | integer; minimum 0; maximum 45 |

| taskId | No | string |

Operation: can change state or start work.

Available setups: stdio, cloud project, delegated inference; stdio, local project, delegated inference.

The machine-readable tool contracts include nested argument schemas.

submit_task_result

Hand back what the subagent produced.

Return the task result once in the requested shape. Do not resubmit a completed task as a new request.

ArgumentRequiredType or accepted values

| taskId | Yes | string |

| result | Yes | string / object / array of value |

Operation: can change state or start work.

Available setups: stdio, cloud project, delegated inference; stdio, local project, delegated inference.

The machine-readable tool contracts include nested argument schemas.

next_question

Get the question the platform is asking.

Fetch a pending question and present it to the person who should decide. Supply projectId for the matching run. If a wait returns no question, inspect domain status for pendingInquiry before polling again.

ArgumentRequiredType or accepted values

| maxWaitSec | No | integer; minimum 0; maximum 45 |

| questionId | No | string |

| projectId | No | string |

Operation: can change state or start work.

Available setups: stdio, cloud project, cloud inference; stdio, cloud project, delegated inference; stdio, local project, cloud inference; stdio, local project, delegated inference.

The machine-readable tool contracts include nested argument schemas.

answer_question

Send back what they decided.

Reply to the same question identifier. Do not invent consent for a user or send conflicting answer fields.

ArgumentRequiredType or accepted values

| questionId | Yes | string |

| answer | No | string / array of string |

| text | No | string |

| declined | No | boolean |

| projectId | No | string |

Operation: can change state or start work.

Available setups: stdio, cloud project, cloud inference; stdio, cloud project, delegated inference; stdio, local project, cloud inference; stdio, local project, delegated inference.

The machine-readable tool contracts include nested argument schemas.
