AI libraries and background jobs

On this page

Common provides public building blocks for AI-aware applications and work that continues outside a single page interaction. Your app can use them when its specification calls for that behavior.

Libraries by purpose

Library or standardPurposePublic OwlMeans package
LangChain core and its OpenAI/Anthropic adaptersConnect supported AI integrations through the public Common abstraction.@owlmeans/llm
Anthropic SDKSupport the public Common integration with Anthropic services.@owlmeans/llm
AjvValidate structured data used by the public AI abstractions.@owlmeans/llm
ioredisConnect compatible shared state services used by Redis-backed services.@owlmeans/redis

These are public ecosystem dependencies and standards. The exact dependency set of an app depends on its generated project and developed features; not every library listed here is required by every application.

Use this in a project

  1. Describe the behavior you need in the specification or story.
  2. Ask the agent to use the project’s existing OwlMeans Common conventions.
  3. Review the related public package documentation when you want to understand a dependency.
  4. Try the behavior in the preview and review its access rules.

For a CRM follow-up reminder, state when it runs, who receives it and how failure should be reported. Ask the agent to develop the story and verify the recorded outcome with synthetic data.

A background job is work performed outside the immediate page request. It is useful for scheduled reminders or processing that should not hold a person on a loading screen.

Read OwlMeans Tech Concept for the application architecture and continue with another agent for the harness workflow.

Application example

Category: CRM and customer management. Example: a small team CRM with contact ownership and manager access.
